Precure announces Dual Shadow, a 2027 spinoff with new characters

The Villain Heroines subtitle stands out, but the first distinction is a new story and new characters within the franchise.

Precure is getting a spinoff with new characters and a new story. According to JBox’s October 28, 2026 report citing Comic Natalie, Dual Shadow ~Precure Villain Heroines~ is planned for 2027.JBox’s October 28, 2026 report citing Comic Natalie ↗

The word Villain in the subtitle contrasts with the series’ more familiar image. JBox describes a teaser that starts in a cheerful setting before shifting to an unsettling mood. That tells us how the preview is presented, but not enough to define the tone of the whole production or each character’s role.

For followers of the announcement, the productions should remain distinct: Dual Shadow is a spinoff with new leads, not another season of the currently airing series. The availability of another Precure anime in Brazil does not confirm this one’s Brazilian release or a Portuguese dub.
