FM27 brings tactical changes to the touchline: what can managers adjust during a match?
Football Manager 27 plans to put some tactical instructions within reach during matches, without requiring a trip to the full Tactics screen for every change. The new Tactical Tweaks system is about responding to the match with team and individual instructions.

Swap flanks or change the press
Examples include swapping wingers, sending the goalkeeper forward for a last attack and asking the team for more urgency, longer passes, greater width or less pressing. Tweaks can remain active, but some contradict one another. More active instructions do not necessarily mean a stronger setup.
Staff are also set to flag opposition changes and suggest when to start or stop a tweak. The aim is to respond to events in that match, rather than leave every decision at the pre-match stage.
Movement and fatigue matter too
The same introduction describes changes to speed, turning, repeated sprints and defensive behaviour. The developers want attributes to be more visible in those actions, alongside the effects of fatigue and substitutions.
Those are explanations of the intended changes, not evidence that we have verified smarter AI or more realistic football. Assessing a long-term save requires the relevant build and actual gameplay records.
Development footage and regional dates need context
The footage comes from a development build and may change. The FAQ explains that the simultaneous global release can fall on November 10 in some countries and November 11 in others; an exact hour was still to be confirmed.
An Asian listing’s date does not establish the Brazilian unlock time. Players can learn about the new tools now, while checking regional announcements before planning when to start a save.
