Pikmin 4 on Switch 2: Dandori challenges and voice commands for Oatchi

Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy adds challenges and control options to the existing adventure. Nintendo’s Portuguese European page lists November 12, 2026, and an upgrade option for owners of the original.

Planning becomes a separate challenge

Dandori Academy asks players to collect treasure quickly. Nintendo distinguishes repeatable practice from exams with weekly attempts. For players who enjoy refining the order of their actions, the mode offers dedicated training goals.

That is the announced design, not a judgment of the difficulty or long-term experience.

Oatchi can take voice commands

The Switch 2’s built-in microphone lets players give Oatchi commands, such as gathering Pikmin and carrying treasure. This does not establish that every language supports the same commands; language and equipment conditions need regional confirmation.

Check the upgrade and sharing requirements

Owners of Pikmin 4 for Switch can buy an upgrade pack, which requires the base game. The edition also adds GameShare to Dandori Battles over local wireless or online through GameChat.

Before upgrading, consider whether the challenges, controls and sharing options suit how you play. Keep Switch 2-exclusive features distinct from the original game, and European terms separate from Brazilian offers.
