Where to find the outpost cell key in Phantom Blade Zero

The cell outside the outpost needs a key, but it is a different obstacle from the bridge blocked by guards. Start by checking the nearby buildings rather than treating both barriers as the same problem.

The Gamersky guide gives the broad route: climb the steps from the outpost bell, turn right and go behind the house to find the cell key (牢门钥匙).Gamersky guide ↗

Follow the route through the building

  1. Go through the outpost, passing the forge and the bell. Climb the steps, pass through the wooden doorway and find the shrine glowing red.
  2. Just before the shrine, take the uphill path to the right to reach the wooden shack.
  3. Enter the main room, turn right, climb through the window and go up the steps outside.
  4. Pick up the key beside the body, then return to the cell.

Unlock the cell and collect the reward

Back at the small prison outside the outpost, interact with the door to use the key. The Chinese and English sources identify the reward as 黑石碎片, called a Blackstone Fragment in the English guide.

This article covers the cell key and its reward. If a guard on the bridge is blocking your way, you need to check the progression conditions for a different quest.
