When Flamengo announced Lino’s arrival on July 29, 2025, the club recalled his brief spell in its youth teams between 2017 and 2018. He later returned to São Bernardo before continuing his career in Europe.
According to the history published by the club, Lino made his mark at Gil Vicente in Portugal before signing for Atlético de Madrid and spending time on loan at Valencia. On his return to Flamengo in 2025, he was introduced as a player who could operate as a left winger or a wing-back.
The 2025 announcement recorded a contract running until December 2029. His youth spell, time in Europe and return to the senior side show that the relationship with Flamengo predates that signing. The two goals on October 29 added another chapter on the pitch.
